White Raven Zendo is a personal hermitage located at 7,000 feet elevation in Big Bear, California and is a branch temple of the Order of the Boundless Way. The resident monk, Eric Reed, (Yin Jing Bai Ya - 印睛 白鴉 ) ordained as a member in the Order of the Boundless Way and the Zen Buddhist Order of Hsu Yun with his teacher, Fa Hsing Jeff Miles ( 法 行 ) of Mountain Way Zen in 2017. Fa Hsing is a Zen teacher and an ordained member in the Order of the Boundless Way, the Zen Buddhist Order of Hsu Yun in the Chinese Chan tradition, and the Lâm Tê’ school of Vietnamese Thien. Eric has practiced and studied the different traditions of Buddhism since 1987, and has held a vegetarian practice from 1990. He began as a serious practitioner of Buddhism from 2006 while attending Chua Thien An - Desert Zen Center, in Lucerne Valley, California, where he took his formal refuge and five precepts in 2013. Since 2012, his path has also included pilgrimages to Buddhist historical and holy sites in Indi
